Resettled families assisted with nursery plants for their new land

Families displaced by war in the villages of Nagendrapura and Korakkankaddu in the Kilinochchi district were assisted with nursery plants for the land they are newly settled in. Land in these two villages were allocated to refugees who arrived after loosing all their possessions.
 
       
 
175 families in Nagendrapura and 250 families in Korakkankaddu were given two coconut plants and five arecanut plants for planting in their land. Produce from these plants are a common source of income for many families in these areas.
