Youth attacked by STFA youth from the Thirukovil area in Batticaloa was attacked by the STF when he went to obtain relief aid in front of an STF camp. The incident was reported to the Amparai district SLMM.Jeyam Aravinthan, aged 26 from the Thirukovil Neethimanram road went to the STF camp where the STF were distributing part of the relief aid given by the government. STF asked the youth to unload material from a truck. The youth obliged. STF then ordered the youth to unload material from another truck which the youth refused. STF then attacked the youth in front of the people who have gathered there. The STF told the youth that he should not receive aid because he was not affected by the tsunami. The incident was reported to the STF camp chief Ratnayake and the Amparai district SLMM. 07 February 2005
